On February 3, 2026, FMCSA issued an extension to the 40 State Regional Emergency Declaration. A copy may be found HERE.
The Declaration provides emergency regulatory relief from certain requirements in Part 395 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
The declaration is effective immediately through February 20, 2026 and covers the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
