Koppy’s Propane ‘Pink & White Bobtail’ Featured
Harrisburg, PA – PAPGA has announced that the Koppy’s Propane Pink ‘Breast Cancer Awareness’ Delivery Truck will be appearing in Harrisburg in conjunction with the association’s 2009 Fall Meeting.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an initiative that began in 1985 by major charities to promote early detection via mammogram. PAPGA will also be passing out pink notepads and pens to membership and visitors during the fall meeting in recognition of this important message.
In 2008, Kara Tucker was diagnosed with breast cancer. Ms. Tucker is the daughter of David Koppenhaver, owner of Koppy’s Propane in Williamstown, PA. Mr. Koppenhaver will be available on September 29th to talk about his company’s commitment to helping find a cure for breast cancer. Kara is married to Ross Tucker, who played college football at Princeton and seven seasons in the NFL with Washington, Dallas, Buffalo, New England and Cleveland.
“Studies show that early detection is key to surviving breast cancer,” said Shelby Metzger, Executive Director of PAPGA. “Our members fully support increasing awareness and encouraging women to schedule annual mammograms.”
